We are still educating the people of Atlanta! Lately we have done peer supported education. We are collaborating with Church on the Street to create a women’s mentoring group. Our speaker, Adrienne Johnson and others go and give hope and useful resources to women still struggling to overcome the homeless experience in Atlanta. We are also starting to mentor women at the Atlanta Day Center. Soon we will collaborate with Vision Outreach,Inc. to reach out to veterans who are dealing with homelessness, substance abuse, and/or mental illness.
We are still open to requests for presentations! Feel free to reach out and connect with us at 404-215-6685.
The Speakers’ Bureau is going in a new direction. We want to bring our speakers’ to organizations that are helping the homeless. Our speakers’ have great stories of resiliency and it will help people who are struggling with homelessness to hear some success stories and some tips on how to recover. If you want us to come speak at your organization just drop me a line. We will come for free, people can give monetary donations if they desire. You can reach me, Catelin Lindsay at: firstname.lastname@example.org
We have been fortunate to have numerous great presentations recently. Brad Mckinley and Adrienne Johnson spoke at Kennesaw University. We are always happy to speak there. Kennesaw is a great university with a very welcoming atmosphere.
Then Catelin Lindsay took Kristy Kehely to speak at a gala done by Beautifully Human, Inc. Beautifully Human, Inc. is a organization that focuses on decreasing domestic violence, empowering our youth, and helping people who are homeless. Photos from this event will be up shortly. It was a beautiful night with great live jazz and our speaker was accepted with open arms. Good job Kristy Kehely and thank you Desaree Johnson for having us.
